The Maranea Classic is a leavened cake made with corn flour, a simple yet rich and delicate tasting product.
In creating this sweet, Dario Loison wanted to draw inspiration from the authenticity of the Vicenza tradition, using the quintessential “farmer’s” flour, namely ground Marano corn. What makes the Maranea unique is the quality of the selected ingredients, such as the exquisite “Marano” corn flour and the Natural Bourbon Vanilla from Madagascar, a Slow Food Presidium with a sweet and enveloping flavor. The surface, sprinkled with sugar granules, gives the cake the right crispiness. The result is a dessert with a rich and balanced flavor, perfect for any time of day.
